I like dressing my boys in cool and fun fashions but have always tried to stretch my dollar. One of my favorite ways has always been to buy ahead and use great clearance sales to buy my boys clothes for the following year. I love doing this because sometimes you can’t predict when your child will suddenly grow out of his current clothes and I am able to hit my stash of brand new clothing hanging in my boys’ closet any time. Having almost all of their wardrobe ahead of time also allows me to avoid to higher prices and impulse buys.
As the economy has taken a dive so has my justification to spend and one of my favorite places to shop is our local outlet. I love buying at outlet prices and getting a chance to shop at stores I wouldn’t get to otherwise and so does my mother. She just recently purchased several outfits for my son’s 3rd birthday from an outlet which including this pair of fabulous Gap jeans and a Gap long sleeved polo from the GapOutlet. Both were purchased for a discounted price which means you can feel good about the purchase instead of guilty about the indulgence. The jeans were $19.99 compared to their like style of $29.99 and the shirt had an everyday value of $8.99. And because it is still Gap, I’m not worried about giving up any quality!
