Warner Bros. Consumer Products has teamed up with Safeway to promote “better for you” eating choices for kids with a food and beverage line which showcase none other than the Looney Tunes characters. The entire line consists of 60 items over 18 categories and is an offshoot of Safeway’s Eating Right line for adults.
I got the opportunity to try out a few items thanks to Team Mom and I was very pleased with their fruit cups, 100% bottled apple juice and especially loved the Eating Right Kids Chewy Bars in mixed berry. They are a good source of calcium with 6 grams of whole grains per serving and NO high fructose corn syrup. There is even a chocolate layer on the bottom of the bar to make them kid (and adult) friendly.
Some of the other items available include watermelon applesauce, fat free pudding and fruits & veggies snack packs with options like carrots with fat free ranch dressing and apples with peanut butter. While my kids my not be in school yet, it does make me envious of those who have a Safeway nearby in which to purchase these healthier options!
