Virtually all little boys love trains(at least mine do) so I’m thrilled to tell you about Thomas & Friends: Hero of the Rails. This is the first ever Thomas CGI movie from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment and is now available on DVD starting TODAY!

We got a chance to watch this DVD early and boy have we watched it! My three year old son Lucian has been a Thomas fan for a while but I can tell that he prefers this new style of Thomas & Friends. He has named this movie “Talking Thomas” which is fitting since this the the debut of individual character voices versus narration. While the old style of Thomas is classic, the new CGI version makes Thomas & Friends fresh again with something new to love. I know that Lucian prefers it and asks frequently to watch “Talking Thomas”, more than he has with any other Thomas DVD we’ve owned. The storyline is enjoyable and there are even some new characters are introduced. I hope that this is a sign of more CGI Thomas & Friends to come!

DVD SYNOPSIS
In this action-packed tale of friendship, determination and teamwork Thomas discovers an abandoned and broken down engine named Hiro from an exciting far away land. Fearing that he will be scrapped, Thomas enlists help from many friends including Victor, a new steam engine and Kevin, a new crane vehicle who both work at the spectacular Sodor Steam Works.
