Creativity for Kids ~ Animal Puppets {Review & Giveaway}

Creativity for Kids was founded in 1976 on the idea that you can inspire children around the world by fostering their creativity. Located near Cleveland, Ohio, this company is holding strong to this ideal by offering a wide selection of non-toxic and fun products for your kids meant to stimulate your child’s self expression!

We got to try out the Make Your Own Animal Puppets kit which includes three extremely soft socks and a very nice variety of pre- cut, peel and stick shapes, hair, tails and eyes with which to create our animal puppets. I love the selection which includes parts for a flamingo, pig, cow, zebra, shark, mouse or elephant. Your child can choose any of these to make or simply create their own animal using a combination of parts!

My three year old Lucian decided he needed to make a shark, which worked great for his first time. It is one of the least complex of the bunch. We simply located the necessary parts and while I guided him with the general vicinity, he actually stuck the cutouts to the sock. He especially enjoyed adding the eyes!

Within a few minutes his masterpiece was finished and he wasted no time try to scare his brother sitting next to him with the shark.

Of course our 19 month old had to get in on the action and soon he too was scaring me, his brother and his grandma!

I don’t know about you, but I’m scared!

This made a great rainy day activity and I will definitely be coming back for more art projects that are simple and don’t require a lot of work on my part to prepare. Unfortunately art isn’t my forte and I appreciate anything that makes it easy on me to provide that type of stimulation for my boys! Just be careful to really watch your children if they are on the young side. This is meant for 3 and up which is no surprise since my youngest kept wanting to rip of the eyes. Even my three year old had a bit of an oops and attached some of sticky zebra parts to our dining room table when I wasn’t looking!
