I have been dumping thousands of dollars into my mouth and the worst part of it all is that my smile is still ugly. Acid literally blackened my teeth, and I have five teeth that grew in wrong, one under the other causing a grown man to cry at night because of the pain. Every tooth in my mouth is crooked and theres one molar thats so sharp it keeps stabbing my tongue when I talk. My mouth is the reason why I had to let go of a career in the music business because image is everything when it comes to that line of work. Now I work for Time Warner Cable as a broadband technician going to customers houses installing and repairing their service and as I talk to the customers I find that 99.9% of the time their looking at my mouth rather than my face. It is extremely embarrassing and im getting depressed everyday that I have to go out and face the criticism and rude looks from other people. Unfortunately I dont feel comfortable displaying a picture of my mouth on the internet but trust me when I tell you my mouth looks like a jacko-lantern. Thanks for reading…Mike
….My story in no regards resembles the one I just read, but when I was seven years old I had a rock thrown at my mouth breaking out my two perm. front teeth and pushing the teeth on each side of those up into my gums. My parents never did anything about it, so as I grew my wisdom teeth came in early and the two teeth that went up in my gums pushed back down and then all pushed together. What remains is a gap in the middle of my face that is big enough for most to think I’m missing one front tooth in “The middle of my face!” Who has ever heard of that one? Anyhow, I grew up very self conscious of my mouth and being made fun of, low self esteem, and always being envious of those who had that perfect smile, I don’t remember what it was like to show teeth!even if my teeth were to be pushed together they would be little front teeth! I don’t know, everyone tells me that this is me, it gives me character, but I know that it would make a world of difference in my life! God loves us no matter what and I have lived with it this long, so oh well! But if just one day I was given the opportuntity to make that move, what a blessing that would be!Thanks….
My story is some of both I just read! I have no insurance, I have had a fear of the dentist all my life! My 2 front teeth, missing.no bac bottom teeth,on and on! I’m a minister and praise leader, I don’t go out 4 fear my plate will fall out, I have been asked 2 sing and speak outside my church, but have declinded due 2 the conditon of my mouth its real bad! No tape please! In Jesus name,I pray 4 help! Aman!
I truly understand most of you guys. I have a family member who also, is struggling at this very moment to get her teeth fixed. Insurance will only pay but so much. She was planning on taking care of her dental problems in about two months time. But, she called me one morning from work, and said you wont believe what happened this morning while i was brushing my teeth. She said that one of her teeth came out, and the other two were just barely sitting there. She had to leave miss work over the next week to try and get something done, but the dentist gave her the worst news she would have to get some more of her teeth taken out along with gum surgery. And it would have to be done now, because of the health risk issue. She was depressed and sad, and while the dentist was taken x-rays of her mouth she said another tooth fell out. Now she had one more loose tooth, in addition her top teeth were in bad shape too, she had no money right then to fix them, and she had to work. She did decide to take off more time from her job to try and fix her issue, but to no avail. She still couldn’t come up with the extra money, not until two months time. Sadly, she has to return to work because her savings are practically nothing now, and her job only allows a certain amount a time off. She is feeling embarassed because of her missing teeth(three are now missing), the top are very loose, and they do look bad. I feel so sad that I couldn’t help out more. When I ran across this ad two months ago, I thought wow! here’s a solution maybe she can enter. But as much as she would have wanted to fix her teeth. Years and years of embarassement about her teeth, and funny looks, along with distasteful comments about her teeth since she was younger has made her very shy about her mouth. It’s sad to. She is such a pretty and nice person. My cousin is one of the best people I know. She said she would have probably done this had you just had to enter a letter in the contest. She said she doesn’t feel comfortable with the video thing. I understand, who am I to judge. To all of you who enter Good Luck! It took alot of courage to do that I’m sure. You never really knows how it feels until you are wearing someones shoes. And to the winner, I hope you know just how lucky you are to have got the chance to have a professional give you a new smile and make you healthy once again. Free of charge!!!!!!!!!!
I would buy that cute little red Calvin Klein wool coat.
