WordWorld is a fun and educational show that can be found on PBS KIDS. It is set in a world made up entirely of letters connected together to spell the word they represent. It is literally a world where words come alive filled with zany characters and lots of spelling, letter recognition and vocabulary fun!
We have been fans of WordWorld for a while so my three year old son was thrilled when we received the just released WordWorld Lots of Letters since we didn’t have any DVDs of this show yet! He loves the pig character who is always fooling around in the kitchen and getting into trouble. That is probably why his favorite is The Mystery of the Disappearing Pie! I was trying to get some things done in the kitchen today myself and this DVD worked wonders to keep him entertained. He wanted to keep watching but certainly I couldn’t let him finish the entire thing. Want to know why? I was literally floored when I actually took a closer look at this boxed 2 disc set. This has 16 stories, making up 3 hours of learning fun! If you aren’t familiar with the series this is a great way to get caught up!
The stories include:
- The Lost Letter L
- Runaway O
- Superhero Sheep
- Happy Birthday, Dog
- Flying Ant
- The Dancing Duck Bonanza
- The Birds
- W Drought
- Catch that C!
- V is for Vacation
- The Mystery of the Disappearing Pie
- Ride ‘em CowBear
- M is for Map
- Play Ball!
- Duck’s First Sleepover Party
- Chef Sheep
My favorite part of WordWorld is educational value combined with the general appeal it has for children with it’s bright colors and silly storylines. This is an entirely fun way to learn that doesn’t make you feel guilty for letting your child watch it! (while you bake in the kitchen…)
WordWorld: Lots of Letters has a list price of $22.99 and can be purchased from Amazon or directly from the NCircle Entertainment website.
