The Brugo coffee mug is changing the way we drink coffee. No longer are we stuck waiting for our coffee to be just the right temperature, only to have it be too cool a short while later. Utilizing patented technology, the Brugo has a temperature control chamber which cools your coffee to be just the right temperature before you sip while still leaving the rest of your coffee nice and warm below it.

There are three settings on the top of the Brugo mug to choose from. Lock which gives you a tight seal, Sip which bypasses the temperature control chamber once it has cooled and Tip and Cool which activates the temperature control chamber to cool down your very hot coffee.

Available in thirteen different colors, there is sure to be one that grabs your attention and speaks to your personality. The Jazz collection shown below features very vibrant colors while the Executive collection is more traditional. They feature a no slip base, double wall insulation, stainless steal and chrome accents, 16 oz capacity and an ergonomic design.

I got the chance to try out the Cobalt Brugo Mug and am certainly impressed. I love the lock feature which is critical while I am using our stroller or in the car on a bumpy road. I used to be so frustrated by the constant spills that the so called “closed” feature of the traditional insulated coffee mug would produce. Of course I also appreciate that the temperature is pretty constant and the coffee is at a drinkable temperature immediately. I also like the no slip base and ergonomic design. It definitely feels comfortable and secure in my hands.

One downside I noticed was the narrowness of the bottom of the mug. It is nearly impossible to get your hand down it and so I must use a bottle brush to wash it since it is not dishwasher safe. This isn’t a big deal since I use one for our stainless steel water bottles and sippy cups but it could be a pain for someone else who doesn’t typically have one on hand.

I also noticed that the tip and cool feature really is just a sip. I prefer the sip setting so I can take a bigger drink and as soon as the coffee cool enough I switch the setting.
