Citiblocs ~ Holiday SPLURGE {Review & Giveaway #7}

Citiblocs LogoCitiblocs are high quality wooden blocks  made of  certified renewable forests in New Zealand. Each piece is exactly the same shape and size requires nothing to but balance and imagination to fit together! To build simple stack one block on top of the other. Because of their specific size , shape and weight it make building easy. Citiblocs are recommended for ages 3+. Citiblocs are certified safe and non-toxic and have been tested and approved according to all Consumer Product Safely Improvement Act (CPSIA) regulations.

Citiblocsbox updteCitiblocs is also an award winning toy. Most recently the National Parenting Publications Awards (NAPPA) just tapped CitiBlocs 200-piece building set with its 2009 Honors Award followed by Dr. Toy bestowing her Best 100 Children’s Products for 2009 for the 54-piece red/blue color wooden building set.

September 29 2009 009Citiblocs have certainly been a hit in this house but I’m not sure if they are loved more by my husband or my three year old son. This is another great activity for them to do together. Lucian’s favorite thing to build is a bridge for cars and he just loves driving them over the top.

September 29 2009 010I know that this is a toy that will last a long time and encourage his creativity. I love the quality of these block and how smooth and soft the edges are on the blocks. You certainly won’t need to worry about splinters!  My husband loves the more complex creations and for fun created a cabin. (Wish I would have snapped a picture of that.)

With this medium sized set of 100 there is enough for two to build two smaller creations at the same time. I think it is the perfect starter size. Citiblocs sets start from a small set with 52 blocks and go up all the way to 1,000 for group creations. Can you even imagine what you can build with that many blocks?

Isn’t this train amazing? You can check out even more wonderful creations in the Citiblocs gallery and even submit your own!

Citiblocs TrainCitiblocs can be purchased directly from the Citiblocs online shop or from Amazon. The 100 bloc set retails for $28.
