Dairy Makes Sense is a great resource for information, recipes and tips to make your holiday dinners delicious without breaking the bankĀ brought to you by The Midwest Dairy Council. These Pumpkin Pie Squares with Cinnamon Sugar Yogurt Topping is just one the recipes available on Dairy Makes Sense and currently making my mouth water!
Did you know know that milk has nine essential nutrients, yet only costs 25 cents per glass? More expensive options like sodas and fruit drinks have a lot of empty calories which doesn’t help your budget or waistline. Dairy foods are also one of the most economical sources of protein and calcium, both of which are important for the growth and development of strong bones and teeth. A one-ounce serving of hard cheese, like cheddar, contains 8 grams of protein, and an eight-ounce serving of yogurt provides nearly a third of your suggested daily calcium intake.
Visit Dairy Makes Sense for more fabulous recipes and ideas, sure to win over your family and guests this holiday season and keep an eye out for another Midwest Dairy Council post including fun tips and another fabulous giveaway coming soon!

I’ve never been to a Timberwolves game! I think it would be fun to go!
I didn’t know that 1 oz of hard cheese had more protein than an egg! I like cheese better so I guess that’s great!
My boys would love to see the Timberwolves! They’ve just started getting into the “sport” of watching games whereas up until now they’ve always just played the games. It’s been fun to watch them get so excited! Thanks for this offer!

I learned: Nutrient-rich foods, like dairy deliver more bang for your buck than other options at the grocery store. For example, an 8-ounce glass of milk delivers 9 essential nutrients, like calcium and protein, at about 25 cents per serving.
