Toasty Kidz Fleece Hats {Review & Giveaway}

toasty-kidz-logoToasty Kidz was founded by Sara, a fellow Minnesota resident who knows all too well how important it is to keep her children warm and toasty while out in the elements. A Toronto native, Sara became interested in finding a better designed winter hat for the American market, much like those found in European designs.

The Toasty Kidz balaclava-style hat that fully covers children’s heads, ears and front and back of necks is a great solution to keeping kids warm in the most extreme conditions. Made of high quality polar fleece, Toasty Kidz hats are available in a variety of fun colors in sizes from newborn to 6/7.

Technical Highlights

  • Provide warmth without the weight and bulk of traditional insulating fabrics
  • Highly breathable to provide comfort in all activities; does not restrict the movement of moisture vapor
  • Dries quickly to minimize heat loss
  • Durable; will outlast other fleece fabrics
  • Machine washable
  • Versatile; appropriate for a broad range of activities

Living in Minnesota, I know all too well how important it is to good quality and very warm winter wear, especially for those who like to spend a lot of time outdoors. As a kid I can easily remember the countless hours spent playing the snow, sledding, and building snow forts.  Unfortunately my hats that never kept my neck really warm even while wearing a scarf and before long I’d experience the dreaded snow down my neck!
Toasty Kidz LuWe got the chance to try out this blue and gray camo fleece hat from Toasty Kidz. I love the incredible softness of this hat and it is obviously very warm. It is easy to get on and off and it doesn’t choke my son’s neck like a scarf, which is a frequent complaint.  I also appreciate that it is reversible, giving us more versatility! I know this is going to be fabulous for us when we take our boys sledding this winter and I’m amazed I haven’t seen a children’s hat in this style before.

Toasty Kidz has some fabulous new styles including the purple pony (my favorite) and the pink and brown coco-dot. They retail for $19.99 each for toddler/kids sizes and $16.99 for infant.

    I’d like to see an orange hat added. It would be great for when the little ones go hunting with their father — bright and noticeable so they don’t get mistaken for an animal and shot.
