I had originally submitted this to the Food for 5 blog, created by Cat from 3 Kids and Us last fall. I thought with it being football playoff season it was fitting to publish it specifically for my readers.
My mom deserves all the credit for this recipe that has been a family favorite since I was little. Enjoy!
Marinated Baked Chicken Wings
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- uncooked chicken wings (approximately 16 regular)
Mix all ingredients together & marinate overnight. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes turning once halfway through cooking time.
Tips:
- You can use the juice from a can of pineapple instead of actual pineapple juice.
- I marinate them in a gallon sized freezer bag and periodically move the wings around.
- You can use frozen chicken wings if desired or double the recipe but you may have to adjust the cooking time.
- I recommend basting them in the juices when you turn them over.

Man those sound good, might have to try that next chicken night.
YES…I can do this for Football Sunday’s at our house. I like that it is baked and some of the grease must be able to drain off this way. I am a chicken loving mama! (But, I love babies too,..haha!) thanks for recipe. i already know just from ingredient they will be a hit..am gonna add drummies too, so it can be part of a meal!

I can’t wait to try this … chicken is a staple at our house and I’m always up for something different. My children always want me to make either Buffalo hot wings or Five Spice wings (garlic, soy sauce and five-spice; mix together; pour over wings; marinate for a couple of hours, then bake at 375 for 45 minutes, turning once. Redip in a new batch of marinade, then cook an additional 15 minutes – yummm .. I use it when I cater and when I attend buffets too), but THIS recipe sounds yum … and I don’t have my menu planned for tomorrow, so I think I’ll be running out to get the wings to make this tomorrow after church. Thanks!
