It is with great sadness that I dedicate my Wordless Wednesday this week to a wonderful woman who is no longer with us, Karissa Gindling of Prissy Green. Not only was she a fellow blogger, she was a good friend who will be greatly missed. My heart hurts for what she must have been going through to leave us in this way. Rest in peace, Karissa.
I never thought I’d be doing another dedication post and certainly not so soon after Bryson Ross.

This is so sad! I just checked out her blog, I didnt realize things were bad. Sorry for the loss of your friend. Our thoughts, prayers are with you, Karissa and her family. Poor thing.
I had such a hard time finding the words today. She was a great woman who touched many and won’t be forgotten.
Very touching post. I am praying for the comfort of her family and close friends as they endure the thoughts and questions. May they be enveloped in peace through this time.
(((hugs))) Emilie!
((hugs)) This is beautiful Emilie, and I don’t think any of us thought we’d be doing another one this soon either.
Oh how sad. What a great tribute, though. I’m sorry for your loss.

I was crushed when I learned of this last night and cried for hours. I talked to her daily for the past year and loved her blog and her. She was always so sweet and positive toward me and I had no idea that she was in trouble in this way. I know I am not the only one that was surprised and wished they could have been there for her to help her threw her pain. Thanks for posting this.
Beautiful post.
I’ve been to her blog several times and completely missed this. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones.
Beautiful picture and such a sad sad day…
She will be missed
Sending you my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong!

What a sad loss. Prayers for her family and friends.
Very sad!
Lovely memorial.
What a great tribute to Karissa. I was devastated yesterday when I heard of this. While, I didn’t know her personally, I did follow her blog, and she just seemed like a down to earth, fun loving gal, you could tell by the smile that lit up her face. The world is missing a darn good person now, but god must have had better plans for her. As a life long sufferer of depression myself, I can’t tell you how many times that I wish I had someone to talk to and someone that would actually listen and beleive in me. Her passing has really hit me hard, knowing that had she reached out to someone, the situation might have been different, this is why I urge anyone who is suffering from depression, or just down on their luck, to reach out to someone , a friend, family member, or better yet, a mobile pysch unit, or the national prevention on suicide. This is what they are here for, and are highly trained for. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. If Karissa could see the outpouring of support, I’m sure she would have been touched. Heaven has gained an angel!! RIP Karissa! You’ll be missed, but never forgotten.
I’m very sorry to hear about your friend. I honestly didn’t know her well, except she entered giveaways of mine. I’ll keep you in my prayers. ~hugs~
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your friend and to her family.
Times are tough right now. Who would have known they were so tough for her. Always a smile. It’s hard to know what is behind the smile. I wish I could have been there for her. I too suffer from depression and really know that if you had for to long problems feel bigger then they are. Nothing is worth throwing your life away. Her pain had to be so deep seeded. wow this hit me so hard when I heard today. I have been out of town and just wish I could have done something anything. Really no one could have if they did not know.
Find peace with God Karissa
