Last summer I devoured the Double Fudge Crunch Singular Sensation cake from Bake Me A Wish and shared with you how delightful it was in this review. At the time I was also itching to try out many of their other cakes, especially the Peanut Butter Mousse cake which contains one of my very favorite combinations, chocolate and peanut butter.
A celebration of chocolate and peanut butter! A layer of chocolate cake is heaped with peanut butter mousse swirled with delicious brownie and milk chocolate chunks, then topped with a jumble of milk and dark chocolate chunks and crunchy peanuts, covered with a luscious dark chocolate glaze, drizzled with more milk chocolate and garnished with a border of creamy fudge.
The Peanut Butter Mousse cake worked beautifully for my son’s 2nd birthday. We had plans with family for a separate party a week after his birthday. This was perfect to use actually on his birthday. Not only did it make his day extra special, I avoided having to make two cakes which was a lifesaver!
The chocolate cake was very moist and tasted great but what my entire family went nuts over was the decadent peanut butter mousse and fudge top. Super light and fluffy, the mousse was so sinful but oh so worth it. You definitely don’t need a large slice as the richness is best enjoyed in moderation. I remembered how wonderful the Belgian chocolate plaque tasted from our last Bake Me a Wish experience so I extremely disappointed when I found my husband and two little boys had eaten it all before I got back with the knife. I guess they just couldn’t resist!
After having both of these types of cakes, I’d have to choose a brownie cake next time. While I enjoyed the Peanut Butter Mousse cake immensely, that brownie bottom just “takes the cake” for me and my brownie loving heart. I highly recommend either of these as a wonderful alternative to flowers or a traditional bakery cake.
Bake Me a Wish also works with charities, the largest of which is Operation: Birthday Cake. 5% of any cake order goes toward the donation of birthday cakes to soldiers overseas together with their partner Soldiers’ Angels. You can also purchase the Freedom Cake which allows you to give a cake to a soldier overseas in the name of your recipient. I can’t think of a sweeter way to build a soldier’s morale!
Buy it: Bake Me a Wish cakes range from $19.99 for the singular sensation to $39.95 for the gourmet classic flavors with options in between. Charity cakes do run higher.
Need a napkin? Because I know I have you drooling at your keyboard right about now. How would you like the chance to try this cake out for yourself? (As if I really need to ask…)

The S’more Brownie Cake caught my eye because we already love S’mores and to have it as a cake just sounds divine.
I’d love to see something like a pound cake, cheese cake, chocolate pie all rolled into one. I’m not sure how it would be done…

coconut cream cake
I thought the Tiramisu Classico cake looked so good. I was reminded of the coloring of many Korean cakes, which are light, fluffy, and just sweet enough.
I’d love to try the Coconut Cream Cake, because I love coconut.
