Finding great maternity apparel that doesn’t break the budget and actually looks cute used to be challenging. Gone are the days where pregnant woman are limited to what they can find locally and stuck with unflattering and boring clothing options. With Milan Maternity, an online retailer specializing in modern maternity clothing, you now can get that sweet and sassy look you are striving for but at a very reasonable price.
When I look at the adorable tops below I can’t help but wonder why, oh why, couldn’t I have discovered Milan Maternity when I was pregnant? And yet you may have noticed that this post contains a review.
You might be thinking, Emilie, are you preggers and neglected to tell us? Alas, no. While I may be contemplating a third child I don’t currently have one cooking. I do know what I like in maternity apparel having been pregnant twice and unfortunately when I look down I sometimes wonder if I still am. I’m definitely not above testing them out myself.
I had the opportunity to try the mediterranean blue Bella top (left) and the flirty Bianca top (right) in plum. The Bella top is definitely more fitting and works perfect as a layering piece. Pregnant or not, you will appreciate the generous length and ruched sides. It does not scream maternity at all. My only complaint is that after washing it a few times I’ve got some slight piling under my forearm. Nothing that is all that noticeable but certainly worth mentioning.
The Bianca top is extremely versatile. Dress it up or down, it works for everyday, a night out (if your pregnant self doesn’t fall asleep first) or for special occasions. Like the Bella top it is form fitting with the exception of the extra fabric over the tummy. This style does a great job of drawing attention away from the belly.
Please accept my apologies with these pictures. I feel terrible that the lighting is not doing these tops justice and of course for my horrendous catalog poses. The Bianca really is just as bright as you see with the model. I love how the color is vibrant but most of all I adore how it hides my muffin top problem area.
Buy it: Milan Maternity is perfect for during and after your pregnancy and is extremely affordable. Most tops range from $20-$30 regular price and are even lower right now during their sale!
