Living in Minnesota I am certainly familiar with Kemps. From Kemps we purchase everything from milk to vanilla ice cream to dips like chive and onion Top the Tater. The later of which happens to be so wonderfully good (and sinful), my husband’s out of state family can’t resist loading up when they visit. (Even if it means downing a container for breakfast before their flight leaves with a bag of Old Dutch potato chips. Yes, I’m actually serious.)
Making healthy choices for my kids is very important to me. While we haven’t eliminated all naughty desserts and snacks from their diet, we certainly keep it in moderation. That is why I love it when I find something new to try that not only my boys love but that is healthy for them. Thankfully they love fruit and yogurt which made it all the more exciting for me to try out the new Fro-Zing! frozen yogurt from Kemps.
The new Fro-Zing! is following the popular trend of tangy frozen yogurt and bringing it right to our freezer case. With such favors as Cherry Vanilla, Pomegranate Blueberry, Strawberry, Blueberry and Raspberry Vanilla, it is hard to pick out just one flavor to try.
With our first round we dug right into our Cherry Vanilla. With its soft and smooth texture, tangy sweetness and overall melt in your mouth yummy goodness, my entire yogurt and ice cream loving family was sold.
Even though we got to try two flavors, including Blueberry, we also purchased the Mixed Berry Vanilla a few nights ago with our own dime? Why? Because we are hooked and my husband stole the last of it when I wasn’t looking. So what is a girl to do but buy some more, right? Tell me that doesn’t look scrumptious? Because it is and yet with only 110 calories and 1 gram of fat per 1/2 cup serving you can eat a twice the recommended size (which is always too small in my opinion) and not even feel guilty about it!
The only flaw with this absolutely fabulous frozen yogurt treat is that it does contain high fructose corn syrup. And if that is surprising to you, most yogurt does as well. While it would make sense that frozen yogurt may also contain high fructose corn syrup, it is still a bit disappointing.
Buy it: Kemps Fro-Zing can be purchased at your local grocery store and Target if you live in Minnesota, Wisconsin, eastern North and South Dakota, Northern Iowa or Northern Illinois.
Now the good news! How would you like to walk away with $100 worth of dairy products from our good friends at Kemps?
