I love fashion. I especially love the feeling I get when I’m wearing something that I think is flattering yet comfortable, high quality but still affordable. I’m horrible about spending money on myself and I’d much rather spend it on my kids. At the same time I get frustrated seeing the same old items in my closet and noticing that I’m only reaching for a select few items and wearing them over and over again. I’m certainly in the market for some new items to add some punch to my rather stale spring wardrobe and so of course I was thrilled to choose an item from DownEast Basics, an emerging leader in stylish and affordable women’s clothing!

After browsing their wonderful selection of skirts, I decided on this versatile Cabana Maxi Skirt in gray. Perfect for a day of shopping or a trip to the beach, this skirt is a great alternative to pants or shorts with the extra fuss of a typical skirt. (Yes, I was thinking ahead on those lazy days when I haven’t shaved or earlier in the summer when my legs are scary white. I know you can relate.)

This cotton skirt washes up great with no ironing necessary (a must for me) and has a soft, high quality feel. I love the free flowing feel of this skirt and know it will be just what I’ve been missing from my wardrobe on those hot days where I need something light and comfortable to wear.
