Namaste Laguna Handbag {Spring Event Review & Giveaway #30}

namaste logoNamaste bags may have been created with the knitter in mind but most importantly to be multi-functional.  Because of that, they are not limited to knitters but are instead a great bag for anyone needing both style and function. With hectic schedules that can lead to chaos, one thing that can help keep any mother just a little more sane is a great bag like those created by Namaste. With features like magnetic closures, metal feet,  thick adjustable straps and multiple compartments your bag can help you deal with whatever life dishes out. And of course your fashionable self won’t be able to resist the look, feel and fabulous colors these bags have to offer. All Namsate bags are also durable, easy to clean and made of animal friendly materials!

Namaste LagunaIs it possible to not just love a bag but be in love with a bag? I’m seriously in a long term relationship with my peacock Laguna bag. We may have only been together a few months but I’m already going steady and haven’t cheated by using another handbag since. I can’t break away from two seemingly simple features that will keep the Laguna bag at my side. Perhaps I simply need a few more colors…

The first is is the ability for this bag carry a lot or a little and still look good. The narrower top portion of the bag folds naturally over the back and will keep the bag low when you don’t need to carry a lot or can stand up when you find yourself with small shopping bags, kids jackets and hats, or toys like that large shiny red convertible your son wants to bring everywhere. Who needs a diaper bag when my purse can quickly double as one? I love the magnetic closures and front and back outside pockets making my keys, cell phone or sunglasses quickly accessible.

Namaste Laguna Bag 2I also adore the adjustable shoulder straps which are removable and can go from 30″ to 53″ in length. Because of the lower drop,  I can easily carry my two year old on the same hip as my bag. He rides right over it, leaving my other side completely free! I haven’t had the luxury of this seemingly simple option since having kids and now I’m not sure I can live without it.

I also had the pleasure of reviewing the Zuma bag last fall (check out my review here). I think it is only fair to offer you a comparison. Trust me, you would be thrilled with either of them and I really think the decision depends upon what you are looking for in a bag. The Zuma sits high up under the arm while the Laguna will ride much lower. And while the Zuma can hold a lot the Laguna can hold an AWFUL LOT OF LOOT. Of course with that, the bag can become quite heavy and you may find yourself a bag lady forgetting to empty your purse and lugging way too much around. The Zuma definitely offers you quicker access but the Laguna will keep your contents safer. At this point in my life I personally would choose the Laguna, if only for the longer straps.

    After looking at all the bags and all the colors, it was really hard to pick, but I can see why you love your peacock colored Laguna bag so much. I think I would pick the same (although the Hollywood Pink came in a close second!)
