I remember my favorite road trip with my family. We rented a RV and drove through Canada when I was 10. It was so much fun staying at campgrounds and exploring a different country. I remember even taking pictures inside the grocery store! One of the reasons we took an RV was because it was hard to be comfortable for longer trips in our wagon but of course that came with a hefty price tag in terms of rental and gas. With the vehicles on the road today like the VW Routan it is much easier to stay entertained and ride in comfort.
Summer is just around the corner which means time to round up the kids and head out on a family vacation road trip! Whether going across country to a national park or just taking the kids up to the grandparent’s house, half the fun is getting there. And it doesn’t matter where you’re headed; you’re going to want to be comfortable along the way. With 12v power outlets, JoyBox™ Entertainment system, UConnect® Bluetooth® system, roof rack and more the Routan provides comfort and fun for the family.
To celebrate how the Routan can help make your next road trip just a little bit easier, I have this amazing giveaway prize package to give away. You can take your next road trip in style and with all the conveniences!
- One iPod® music player that can be plugged into to the Routan minivan’s auxiliary port

Not sure if this classifies as my “favorite” road trip memory. But when I was 12 I went on a three week road trip with my mother to New Mexico. My mother hates driving, it scares her. We were in a big truck. Well…if you’ve ever been to Angelfire, New Mexico, you know the road up there is quite scary. A large cliff to the side of you with no shoulder. I watched out the window as we climbed the mountain, and didn’t say a word. Until two days later.

This seems silly…but my favorite feature is the purse hooks! No more putting in on the floor, or next to the baby who just gets in it!
My family took annual road trips, and the one we took when I was 15 was my favorite! We went to Arkansas, right on the waterfalls in some great cabins! I met a guy there who ironically lived close to us back home, and that is when we started dating! He is now my husband!
I love the power sunroof on the VW routan!

My favorite summer trip memory is when me, my mom, and my brother flew to San Diego to see my aunt when she was serving in the Navy. It was our first time on a plane.
I would love the touch screen radio feature.

Every summer growing up, we drove 8 hours to visit my relatives in TN. We could do that easily. Driving the 24 hours to Florida was a lot rougher!!! I remember on the return trip my dad just wanted to get us home and drove straight through without any overnight stops! Crazy!!!!
3rd row folding bench seat w/tailgating position–The next car I get will have this!!!

I remember driving with my family to Disney World when I was about 13. I didn’t want to go and leave my boy friend and friends, but I had a blast and loved it. We played car games, I slept, and we ate lots of fast food!
i went with my sis up to maine..we almost ran out of gas on our way to our hotel and we were surrounding by nothing but darkness and moose crossing signs..i was so scared i was laughing..it was funny..to look back on

We used to go up to my grandparents house in Missouri (from Texas) every year. One of the funniest things I remember about one trip was our car breaking down (not really so funny – lol!) and having it towed. We couldn’t all fit in the tow truck so my brother, sister & I rode with him and my parents stayed in our station wagon that was being towed.
We had to go back through a toll booth to get to the shop. So the tow truck driver pulled up and paid and then pulled up so my parents could pay. We all thought that was the funniest thing.

For Christmas we drove from Chicago to St. Petersburg FL when I was 12 and my sister was 4. We laid around on sleeping bags in the minivan and I read books while she played Santa Clause Is Coming To Town over and over and over again. It was my first real vacation (we were poor immigrants) and we stayed in a dumpy motel and we loved it.
Power operated sliding side doors and power liftgate would be my favorite feature!

My favorite road trip memory is going to the local State Park and seeing the beautiful sails of windsurfers and people flying beautiful kites on the beach side of the park!
