I remember my favorite road trip with my family. We rented a RV and drove through Canada when I was 10. It was so much fun staying at campgrounds and exploring a different country. I remember even taking pictures inside the grocery store! One of the reasons we took an RV was because it was hard to be comfortable for longer trips in our wagon but of course that came with a hefty price tag in terms of rental and gas. With the vehicles on the road today like the VW Routan it is much easier to stay entertained and ride in comfort.
Summer is just around the corner which means time to round up the kids and head out on a family vacation road trip! Whether going across country to a national park or just taking the kids up to the grandparent’s house, half the fun is getting there. And it doesn’t matter where you’re headed; you’re going to want to be comfortable along the way. With 12v power outlets, JoyBox™ Entertainment system, UConnect® Bluetooth® system, roof rack and more the Routan provides comfort and fun for the family.
To celebrate how the Routan can help make your next road trip just a little bit easier, I have this amazing giveaway prize package to give away. You can take your next road trip in style and with all the conveniences!

Last Day!

I drove across the country for the Millenium celebration in New Orleans and it was great. I went solo, but kinda winded my way around getting cheapo hotels here and there and just exploring the country a bit. 4000 new miles on my odometer and 4000 new experiences to talk about! Sometimes I wish I could do it all again sometime, but with a wife and a kid now, its not really an option.
Visiting family on the way to a beach vacation is a favorite road trip memory I have.

I like the rear back up camera
Going to grandma’s house in camper filled with kids. It was the best and worst of times. We sang songs, watched movies, and got on each others nerves, but we loved every minute of it.
Last summer we camped our way to Colorado and back with the kids (over 3000 miles and 2 weeks!) We got out to hike at one point and there was a bear in the field right where we got out of the car!
I like the Power door locks w/remote-activated lock, unlock, rear hatch release and panic button key.

We just went on a fantastic one this weekend. Just the girls trip, complete with mix cds, and taking lots of pictures.
It was a blast.
Thanks for the giveaway…my favorite road trip memory was driving to driving to San Diego from Phoenix for Spring Break in a beat-up VW which, naturally, broke down in the middle of the desert resulting in our cutting our trip down from seven to five days.

Love the Rear Park Assist feature on the VW Routan.

My grandparents had a motor home when I was growing up and they used to take us camping. I used to love to ride in it and play cards with my cousins while we were driving.
My favorite is our first summer vacation
My favorite is: when I was a kid we moved around a lot. We drove from one end of the US to the other, and we’d always stop at those cheesy tourist traps along the way. For miles we would see “The Thing” billboards and my brother and I would beg to stop so we could see what this “Thing” was.
As we got closer, the billboards got closer too and told us we HAD to get off ext 11A so we could see the amazing “Thing”.
Turns out it was some weird (fake?) mummy thing in a small tin building that wasn’t very impressive. On the bright side, THE THING was located next to a huge junk souvenir store so we got toys and that was ok.

My husband and I drove our 3 kids to Walt Disney World in 2007. It was a 14 hour trip. Luckily we had a large Lincoln Navigator at the time. It was a great trip.
I like that this has cruisecontrol. My car doesn’t have it and it’s a pain on long trips.

“old Betsy”! Our big white station wagon! My three sisters and I had a ball!
Thanks!

A favorite road trip memory of mine is wiggling toes with my sister in the car. It sounds so strange but it is such a fond memory for us.
SIRIUS® Satellite Radio system with complimentary 1-year audio subscription (traffic subscription included on vehicles with navigation) is my favorite feature.

My favorite road trip memory is when my parents took us to Myrtle Beach.
Cruising in the car listening to the radio on our way to a mini vacation (just a weekend at a local motel).

We all went to see mount rushmore with my husband, kids and inlaws. Everyone had a great time!
I remember traveling from Texas to California as a kid and the car breaking down along the way. It was a stuffy and uncomfortable road trip but the destination made it worth it.
