I’ll be completely honest. I have never let my kids drink Kool-Aid and certainly not soda. I make a strong effort to give them 100% juice and occasionally all natural lemonade if they aren’t drinking their usual milk and water. I do this because I know it is healthier for them now and will hopefully lead to good habits later. Kool-Aid has recognized the need for healthier habits as well and has come up with an alternative to soda and other sugary drinks for kids.
Kool-Aid has created Fun Fizz comes in tablets that fizzle, pop and dissolve in water to create that Kool-Aid taste they know and love but with one difference. Fun Fizz is sugar free and only 5 calories per serving. It is available in three flavors: Gigglin’ Grape, Partyin’ Punch and Laughin’ Lemonade.
These were great to have on hand when my nephews were in town. All had tried them at least once before and were excited that I had some so they could watch them fizz an enjoy the drink afterward.
Because the tablets are individually packaged they are easy to make an super easy to store. Just add them to water, wait a few moments to let the tablet fizz and you have a refreshing drink that tastes great and won’t leave you feeling guilty for letting them have some . It is a great way to stay hydrated during the summer. I have even found myself drinking Fun Fizz for an alternative to my usual sugar free peach iced tea. While it has been a while since I last had traditional Kool-Aid, I really couldn’t tell a difference.
This is a great drink product for on-the-go moms as it’s easy to make, easy to transport and most importantly, a sugar-free drink that kids love. It’s also a perfect summer drink option as it’s a great way to get kids to drink more water, stay hydrated from playing in the summer heat, and stay away from unhealthy beverages such as soda.
Another good trick is to add twice the amount of water as it says on the instructions for kids to get them to drink even more water!

My favorite Kool-Aid memory was that my mom wouldn’t buy me Kool-Aid, so I had to sneak it into the house when I was a teenager and put it at the back of the fridge. I am sure that she noticed, but she had bigger fish to fry so she didn’t say anything. The Lime flavor was my favorite.

I’ve drank Koolaid since I was a kid and my kids love it too. I know their favorite flavor would be the Laughin lemonade. What child could resist dropping in a tablet and watching it fizz? Pop rocks from Koolaid.

I have Memories of my 4 year old son asking my 11 year old son to make him some “fizz”. The absolute only thing they can do together without screaming being involved. They both usually are sitting at the table smiling and when I look at my 4 year old son he is usually smiling with a huge red ring around his mouth from the cool aid fizz. I know why they call it cool aide it is because it is an aid that assists parents with making their children cool out!

My favorite Kool-aid memory is with my grandma. She had these really awesome kool-aid cups – they were offwhite plastic – so you could see the color of the kool-aid through the glass. They had the Kool-aid guys smile on the outside in 3-d! They were my favorite!
