Co-founders of The Little Seed Paige Goldberg Tolmach, who also co-founded Swoon Candles and Soleil Moon Frye, actor/writer/director have teamed up with Target to bring a brand new organic baby line, available locally and at an affordable price for a limited time.
The Little Seed for Target was created to provide parents with stylish, organic product offerings for their little seedling. The exclusive, limited-time-only line encompasses an assortment of brightly colored, stylish layette meant to be mixed and matched. All items in the collection – including blankets, hooded towels, layette and bibs – are made from 100 percent organic cotton fibers. Prices range from $7.99 for a bodysuit to $12.99 for a hooded towel.
I had the opportunity to chat with Paige and Soleil recently to find out more about their thoughts on the line and what making organic clothing that was accessible and affordable meant to them. They both have children with sensitive skin and they created The Little Seed after they realized how difficult it was to find non toxic products that wouldn’t irritate their babies skin. This is more than just a business opportunity for them, it is personal and certainly a passion. Their excitement is certainly infectious and watching the video it is obvious they are care about products that are safer for children and the environment.

Unfortunately I don’t have the beginning or the end our our interview due to some technical issues. One question that I felt was important to ask was what Paige and Soleil would tell new moms who might be on the fence about buying organic. Perhaps that mother isn’t sure she can afford this luxury or her child doesn’t display any sensitivities. Soleil stressed that any baby can benefit from these products and that adding one or two pieces is a step in the right direction. With this line every new mom can both find and afford even just one of their products and feel good about it.
I received a few items from the line to get a hands on look at the line. Wow, are these fun! I’m so glad that we are no longer confined to muted tones in organic and can instead enjoy vivid colors that match our kid’s bright personalities! (Plus, let’s face it, they are more likely to mask stains when they aren’t white!) They are oh so very soft. Like I wish they made them in my size so I could lounge around in my house soft. Because the fabric is light and cool (with still some weight) your baby will certainly not overheat but still stay warm.
Their idea behind the line is about layering and making each piece work together which I know as a mom is appreciated. Imagine having extra pieces from this line in your diaper bag that you know will work whether your baby spits up on the bodysuit or has a blow out and needs a change of pants.

Even before I got pregnant I was very conscious of what went into the products I use. Now that I am expecting, I have really been drawn to anything and everything organic for baby. It can be difficult to find this stuff in store, so I would love to be able to buy it at Target!
as a shopper of target and a new baby on the way ,organic anything is better and now i have the opportunity to give my baby the best i can give.
