Honestly there is nothing I love more than buying baby gifts. It fills that need, that insatiable need to buy things that are cute and me croon. And with my youngest now 3 *sob* it is a way to hold my own baby fever tendencies at bay. Elegant Baby is a great way to find that perfect baby gift guaranteed to be colorful, fun and modern.
For a long time when I thought of Elegant Baby I only thought of adorable polka-dotted piggy banks. My good friend and co-worker Chris purchased a medium blue and white polka dot piggy bank for Lucian after he was born. That little piggy sits cheerfully on Lucian’s bookshelf, with a pretty full belly, I might add. We try to feed him often!

I’ve learned Elegant Baby is a lot more than just piggy banks and other traditional keepsakes. And since I love combining practical and fun, their bath section is one I like indeed!
I enlisted two good friends with infants to try out some of the products Elegant Baby bestowed upon me and let me know their thoughts. Ironically they are both named Sarah!
First up is the blue Harvey Hippo Bath Towel ($40) which also comes in a pink Olivia Owl Bath Towel version as well!
What Sarah liked: Towel was very generously sized and super absorbent as listed in the description on their site. In fact, it may have been too large for a 4 month old. My son Keegan has a smaller than average head and his head got lost in the hood so I had to fold it back. It was very absorbent which I liked because many baby towels are not actually thick, warm or absorbent.
My son Warren loves playing with bath squirters in the bath tub so he immediately latched onto the Lagoon Party Bath Squirter Set ($16).

Sarah also got one of Elegant Baby’s fun polka dot rubber duckies in green and white! Dot ducks ($8) are available in six colors and they are non-toxic and phthalate-free!
My other friend Sarah got to try out some of Elegant Baby’s clothing gifts for her daughter, including these bright Rita’s Ruffle Socks ($19). They come in a package of three and fit up to size 12 months.
Sarah’s Thoughts: She’s dreaming of dancing! I like these socks a lot. They stay on a lot better than others and are darn cute too!
A very popular baby gift choice on Elegant Baby is the Baby’s First Jeans ($40). Available in a unisex design, these jeans come in a keepsake box and are made of a very soft cotton knit blend.
These jeans are so very soft. So soft you wouldn’t really think of them as jeans at all and yet look adorable paired with virtually any top. Available in size 3-6 months or 6-12 months and contain lots of cute detailing.
Sarah’s Thoughts: LOVE these jeans! I would never put the traditional baby jeans on my kids, but I’d take 100 pairs of these! Thank you!
And going the practical route for gifts, perfect for that one year old’s birthday is this Baby On the Go Feeding Set ($26) available in blue/green and pink/green.
Sarah’s Thougths: I really like this set which came with a carrying case, bowl with lid, fork, spoon, 2 drinking cups with sippy lids and 2 snack cups with one slide open lid and 4 regular snap on lids that fit either the snack cups or the drinking cups.
What Sarah liked: Snap on lids are very secure even when dropped by a 2 year old they do not pop off of the sippy cups. I also like that the cups can be used without sippy lids at all. The snap on caps can be removed and the cup used without them without an awkward lip on the cup like some sippy cups that can really only be used with the lid. I love the sliding snack cup lid, perfect for little hands to get small snacks out of the cup without spilling all over (we actually used this to take to the Doctor’s office this week and Kurt ate Cheerios the whole time without spilling). I love the bowl with a lid too, I can see us using this on overnight trips where we can load it with cereal for breakfast and just pop off the lid and add milk when we are ready to use it. The carrying case is nice too so you can fill all items up for a meal on the go and keep it all together in the case.
What Sarah didn’t care for: The cups (both snack cups and drink cups) are pretty small. I often don’t use sippy cups that don’t have a stopper in them (which these don’t) as they usually end up tipped over somewhere leaking out of the spout.
Don’t forget to check out their other feeding solutions including these fun sippy bottles ($13)!
