Both of my boys loved being swaddled as newborns. I know it helped them sleep better and longer just by comparison on those times they weren’t swaddled. No baby loved to be swaddled more than my oldest Lucian. In fact, we had to actually ween him off it as he would have been content being swaddled much longer than he should have actually. My second Warren on the other hand was more active and often his arm(s) would be found outside the swaddle and I’d discover cold extremities. For an active baby like him, he seemed to like the security but eventually resisted the lack of moment allowed. This swaddler is unlike any I’ve ever seen. Because it allows your baby both movement and security within a lightweight fabric, it is designed to help your baby sleep more restful.
I think my favorite feature is the Secure Sleeve which keeps those arms and hands warm and snug and eliminates the opportunity for your baby to wiggle a hand out of the swaddle. Nothing would bother me more as a mom than to discover a cold baby hand!
Easy to follow instructions are printed on the inside of the swaddle system, making it simple and quick to swaddle your baby without any confusion. This is especially nice for those not used to swaddling and other care givers such as Grandma who may not be familiar.
I was impressed by the strength of the velcro used in the True Womb system and believe it will help to keep my baby more secure. Some of our older swaddlers with velcro would come undone with just a little movement which I found frustrating.
