When you are a first time mom it can be hard to know everything that you’ll need for a new baby. Some moms ask more experienced moms for their advice while others will consult lists found in such places as books and online. What I found is that other moms really know best. Many of the expert lists are driven by other companies or include perhaps some convenience items but also a lot of stuff that is not essential and may sit in your nursery unused. Without a doubt, this set includes many items I couldn’t live without and some that I know I’ll appreciate having, especially in sets of two. One item I was in desperate need of was a new changing pad. I had to throw my old one out after it fell apart  going through two babies and already I can see that this contoured pad is an upgrade!  Even my husband noticed and was happy to see it is much more deluxe than our old one.

The contoured changing pad comes with a quilted vinyl layer that is moisture resistant to make clean up easy and is made with durable comfort foam. The 4″ beveled sides and security strap that attaches to the changing table help keep baby safe.

Also included are two changing pad covers which is a must! These pads are super soft and made with high quality fabric. They include  elastic edges to keep them in place.

The two waterproof changing pad protectors will help keep the changing pad covers clean and will offer extra protection for the layers below. Pads like these can really be a life saver! I found that no matter how careful I was while changing my babies there were always times I needed some protection for the pad cover from messy situations like blow outs, not to mention “surprises” during changings!

One item I’ve never owned before but am excited to try is the two terry cloth crib saver sheets. These protectors attach to your crib on top of your sheets to make night time accidents that much quicker and easier to manage. This will certainly feel like a luxury!

Lastly, this set also has a mattress pad. While I have owned one of these, I’m sorry to say I’ve never had more than one. Having a spare will be great when one is in the wash! This machine-washable fitted mattress pad has extra cushioning, and a vinyl backing to keep the  mattress clean and dry.

Overall I think this set really does include some much needed essentials and some convenience items you’ll be so thankful you have. All the items are high quality and will be a much appreciated practical gift for any new mom!
