When my two boys were infants we had a play yard that very basic. While it was good quality, it featured absolutely no accessories or additional features whatsoever. It served its purpose and we certainly couldn’t complain since it was given to us by a friend but I always eyed the more deluxe play yards with a little bit of envy. Play yards like this Leila Play Yard from Maxi Cosi. This one is decked out in all kinds of useful features that I always wanted or never even knew I needed!

Perfect for travel or every day, this play yard is made from birth to 30 pounds or until your baby can climb out. A fabric tote with handles is included to make storage easy and the play yard more portable. And no disassembly is required to store it. We also love the sturdiness offered with the extra leg in the middle.

The easy access changing center allows you to quickly change your little one but folds down to the side for easy storage so it is out of the way. It is ergonomic and nicely elevated so no crouching necessary.
Lots of storage is available which allows you to keep everything from diapers and wipes to clothing and blankets, within easy reach. It is nice and open so you can quickly see and grab whatever you might need in a hurry.

The baby-view bassinet has breathable mesh sides to give you peace of mind and keeps your newborn up close. I can imagine pulling the play yard right up to the side of my bed to sleep when we travel.
It is easy to switch between the bassinet and the regular play yard. The pad itself is firm but still soft enough and the velcro makes it easy to attach.

Another great bonus is the modular plush toy mobile to entertain baby. You’ll even find a nightlight, soothing lullabies, 2-speed vibration with 15 minute timer giving you so many more uses for this play yard.

So what did we think overall of the Leila play yard? We love the many features offered within a single system and appreciate the ergonomic design and breathable mesh sides.

The downside? When assembling this play yard my husband realized one of the bars to the changing table was assembled backwards which definitely caused some frustration. He had to twist off the cap, unscrew and then properly reattach. I happen to notice that another customer on Amazon had the same problem. It is a fairly quick fix once you realize what is wrong but still a bit annoying given the higher end nature of this product.

I also find that it took a bit to get used to how all the features worked and how to transition easily between them. As with any play yard, figuring out exactly how to set up and take down is a learning process but once you get it down it is fairly quick and simple.

Overall, this a beautiful play yard with a nice design and high quality parts and fabric.
