Men can be hard to understand. While I enjoy a good football discussion with the rest of the guys (don’t even get me started about my fantasy football team!) other topics really leave me confused. From the computer discussions to construction projects to jokes that seem pretty juvenile, I’m typically in the dark. And that is ok because I realize that they probably don’t fully understand or care to hear about what my girlfriends and I chat about when we get together. But if there is one way you can count on to make men happy, it is through their stomachs.

Ball Park knows that guy time is important and one big aspect to guys spending time together includes food. Guys hanging out and just being guys is half the fun. The other half can be preparing some awesome food, often together. Watch this quick video and tell me you don’t get a chuckle over the discussion. Honestly, if the conversations my husband has are this entertaining I think I need to start paying more attention!
My husband has three brothers and when they get together in the summer you can bet there will be grilling. From hamburgers and hot dogs to my husband’s now famous baby back ribs, they like to just hang out in our driveway babysitting the meat and chatting about who knows what. It seems so cliche but I’m typically in the house making side dishes and chatting with the other ladies while the “boys” are outside in their lawn chairs drinking a beer. It works for us. Everyone gets fed and they get their guy time. Nothing brings the guys together like a grill and some meat. Do you find this to be true with the men in your life?
Keep an eye out for more posts on this subject, including how we like to enjoy our hot dogs and more ways in which I try to understand my husband. It should make for some interesting discussions!

My husband, brother and Dad love to grill!
My dad was a huge grill guy – like it was part of his culture of something. My husband? Not so much. But, hey he does try.
My husband loves to grill out and he is teaching our son how to grill. It is a great bonding experience for the two of them.
My husband and his Dad bond over the BBQ pit on a monthly basis!
Living in the south, we get to grill year round, and the boys love to be outside with dad helping out. Now if only I could get them to help in the kitchen…
A grill is a man magnet! They always seem to congregate around it. I love it when my hubby grills
My husband does enjoy grilling but doesn’t do it nearly as often b/c of time
