When I visited the  Kraft Foods BlogEats conference for bloggers this past fall I got the chance to try out some brand new products not yet on the market. One of these included Kraft Fresh Take cheese and breading mixes. I always enjoy something easy and quick to make preparing dinner for my family that much easier and these certainly fit the bill.

Each package includes a separate cheese and breading compartment within a pouch which can easily be spread apart to create a single pouch. You can toss and coat your chicken, pork or fish directly in the package so clean up is a snap.

The Kraft website includes lots of different recipes in which to use Fresh Takes so you aren’t limited to only tossing and coating your meat!

Looks easy, doesn’t it? It is!

I decided to try out the Fresh Takes Italian Parmesan and coated about a pound of chicken tenders. They were simple to coat and loved that there was some breading left over so I could sprinkle it on top. When it baked it created such a nice crunchy topping instead of the usual sogginess that can come with traditional bread crumbs. And because I used thinner chicken tenders versus whole chicken breasts they were done baking in about 15 minutes and were so amazingly tender!

I was working with what I had on hand so I served them with some butter pasta tossed with parmesan cheese and topped with Italian diced tomatoes. This meal was a huge hit, even with my husband who traditionally isn’t a big fan of chicken breast. He prefers dark meat and finds that white meat can get a bit dry. But with this meal he couldn’t stop raving about how tender and juicy the meat was and how he loved that crunchy coating. I’ll definitely be making this one again for my family and look forward to trying out the many other Fresh Take varieties.

Look for Kraft Fresh Takes in the dairy aisle of your local supermarket. I discovered them in mine and saw they retailed for around $2.99. Be sure to stop by the Kraft Fresh Takes website where you can print off a $1 off coupon to try them yourself!

Disclosure: I was invited to participate in a behind-the-scenes blogger conference with the Kraft Kitchens, for which Kraft provided full travel expenses, meals and accommodations and product samples, coupons and premiums, however my opinions are completely my own and I have not been compensated to publish positive or negative reviews of the event or products associated with my experience.  I received two samples for the purpose of this post. Thoughts remain 100% my own and yours may differ.
