Morphology (TIME Magazine’s Number 2 Toy of the Year in 2009)and Morphology Junior (Creative Child Magazine’s 2012 Game of the Year) are similar to Pictionary but without having to draw. Players must construct words from a drawn card like “spoon” for their teammates to guess using pieces like popsicle sticks, string, cubes and glass beads. And with wooden characters, they can act out the words like charades! They’ve included some quirky rules like “eyes closed” and “string only” for added fun. We’ve already played around with the Junior version and the boys loved getting creative with the pieces. We can’t wait until they are a bit older and can really participate.
