Shopping for many people on my holiday gift list is not an easy task. For some it is because they would say they don’t really need anything. For others, it is distance that separates us and it can be difficult to know what someone else would appreciate when you see them only once a year. Lands’ End has created a gift shop which helps you locate the perfect gift for anyone with several categories to choose from like personalized gifts or even shopping within a certain budget.
Lands’ End challenged me to look through the shops and choose something that I’d love to give or receive this year. Since so many members of my family read my blog I decided to not spoil any surprise this year and I picked out something for myself instead in the Gifts Under $50 section.
It was tough to choose with so many great options, but I decided on the Women’s Meridian Reversible Cable Scarf ($34). I’m sure this is really no surprise to anyone that really knows me. For the last few years I’ve built up a nice collection of scarves because they’ve become my very favorite accessory. Since I live in a very cold state I have plenty of opportunities to wear them!
You’ll find this scarf in four great colors including Royal Emerald, French Orchid (pink) and Lapis Blue. But because I love a good neutral scarf that goes with everything, I picked the Charcoal Heather.
With tons of texture in a soothing cotton blend, it’s one of the most inviting scarves in our assortment. And thanks to a touch of wool, it offers welcome warmth without feeling itchy. Generously sized: 74? L x 9? W and nicely finished with 1¼? rib-knit ends. 60% cotton/30% nylon/10% wool. Dry clean or hand wash.
I have to agree about the warmth. This scarf has to be one of the thickest and warmest I own. And it certainly isn’t itchy! I found it to be the perfect length to easy wrap around my neck or tie and it easily can be paired with a pair of jeans or a dress.
The only downside is that while it is on the softer side, it isn’t nearly as soft as some of my scarves. I typically prefer a plush or fleece scarf in the winter that I can literally cuddle with and can’t bear to remove from my neck because I’m so cozy. I don’t have this problem as much with this scarf and I’d probably stick with just wearing it outdoors. That being said, I’m glad that I have a scarf like this to round out my collection and love the classic design!
If you are looking for a set there is also a matching hat ($24) and convertible mittens ($Mer29) available to create an ensemble.
If you are still stumped on what to get for that hard to buy person on your holiday gift list, check out the Lands’ End Gift Shops section to get some great ideas for all ages!

One of the best things about winter is scarves!! I can’t get enough!!
This scarf looks cute and warm. I love Lands End products, great quality and love their customer service too!
Very nice looking! I never buy scarves because I get so many hand made ones from crafty friends and family but this one looks worth having!
This would make a great gift for almost everyone on my list.
I have a scarf in the same color, love it. The only thing I worry about is having a bag big enough for my hat, scarf and gloves during the winter time.
