Sub-Zero Temps and LAMO Moccasins {Review}

I’m in LOVE – with my new LAMO moccasins! I’ve seen this type of slip-on shoe/slipper in other retail stores recently and have thought about getting a pair but the quality just never seems to be worth the price. These LAMO lady’s driving moccasins are perfect!

The price is a little more than I’d typically pay for a slipper at $64, however for all of my daily shoes I always pay more than that for a quality shoe. It’s just not worth it to buy junk that doesn’t last in my opinion. I have freak feet that are hard to fit so when I find something I love I typically wear it for years and that’s worth every penny as long as the quality is there to make them last. LAMO has that quality.

About LAMO

Established by Joseph Li in 1995, the LAMO Footwear collection has since become a fashion staple for a continuously growing number of shoppers. “Our mission is to provide consistent value, quality, and comfort through our entire life and to create ideal investment pieces. While other brands have resorted to lower quality of synthetics and linings, we wanted to maintain the quality of our line by using natural sheepskin fiber, which is the hallmark of our brand.” LAMO Footwear ranges from $60 to $200 and is available at department stores and specialty boutiques nationwide or online at www.lamosheepskin.com as well as internationally in Canada, South America, and Japan.

As I mentioned before, I have very difficult feet to fit when it comes to shoes of any kind. I wear a women’s 10 (grown two sizes since having kids) on top of being extremely narrow. When they make them longer they often make them wider and that just doesn’t work well for me. I wind up with flip flops. The great thing about this moccasin is the way it adjusts!

The heal slipped off when I initially tried them on but with a quick adjustment of the leather tie on the front they fit nice and snug. No more flip flops. If you struggle with narrow feet like I do, these adjust in a snap. I would imagine the same applies to those with wider feet as they’re quite roomy otherwise.

This style comes in three colors Chestnut, Chocolate and Rose show above, and have a nice driving sole on the bottom. I have hardwood floors and have been looking for something to save my aching feet around the house. With the snowy weather here in Duluth, MN I doubt I’ll wear them out and about in the wet weather but I think they’d be perfect for spring and fall on dry days. The interior is SO soft and warm.

I can’t say enough about these moccasins. We’ve had a cold snap here with temps reaching -46°F with the wind chills. I quite literally haven’t taken these off while we’ve been trapped indoors all week!

    These look so warm and comfortable. I have to say though that I am not much for slippers, but that is because they don’t stay on very well. These look like they would be great, even chasing young kids around

    My daughter is 13 and WAY into the moccasin wear right now. She got a low price pair for Christmas and we will see how they wear. Last time the ones from Target lasted a couple WEEKS as they were more slippers she talked us into buying for street wear.

    I have to agree…buying good shoes for daily or almost daily wear, like tennies for instance, need to have quality and comfort come above most everything.

    I had to laugh Janelle, I saw this post and while reading within the post, I though I saw LMAO. I wondered WHAT was so funny! haha. I had to look back several times to see it was LAMO instead:)
