Wall Decor Made Easy With My Wonderful Walls {Review and Giveaway}

How many times have you seen a wall decor idea on Pinterest and wanted it but not known how to follow through or where to start? That happened to me when I saw a fabulous family photo idea. It was a tree painted on a wall, with family photos in frames hung on the tree. I fell in love with the idea and saved it as one of those ideas that I would probably never get around to. Then, I saw the answer to my procrastination on My Wonderful Walls. A beautiful family tree wall decal.

I instantly fell in love with the Classic Oak Family Tree Wall Sticker I saw. Not only did it look like a beautifully painted tree, but I didn’t have to do the work of figuring out how I was going to paint a tree on my wall and not have it look like a school project gone wrong. Not only that, but I could do the project now and put on my walls without hesitation as we want to sell our house as the decals are completely removable and repositionable so I can take it with me when I go!

When I received the tree I was extremely pleased. The SafeCling fabric wall stickers are extremely durable and look like they are hand painted. I was very pleased with the quality.

The wall stickers came with very detailed yet easy to understand instructions. They recommend applying to freshly painted walls (after waiting for a suggested 2 weeks for drying). I had painted my wall this past summer, so it was not completely fresh paint, so I used their suggestion and wiped it down to remove dust and dirt for better a better stick.

I did wait until my husband Kyle was available to help me put up the wall decals. I was worried that reaching the top would be hard for me and also wanted a second set of hands as the first tree trunk piece was fairly large and I figured with 2 of us we could position better. The decal measures approximately 52?-56? depending on how you arrange the branches and stands 48? tall. It ended up going up REALLY smoothly and I probably could have done without his help, but it was nice to have a second set of hands and eyes.

The instructions included a very nice diagram of how the pieces were laid out on the backing and instructions on where to place on the wall. It was easy to follow and very easy to reposition the decals when I didn’t get them right the first time.

Included with the decal are 20 frame wall stickers but you can order additional frames if needed. I thought the frames themselves are a little small (4? x 3? (qty 6); 3.4? x 2.6? (qty 6); 2.2? x 2.8? (qty 8), but they will work perfectly for the many wallet sized pictures I have of my nieces and nephews. Someday I may buy some wooden frames in the sizes I desire and hanging them on the tree.

I haven’t completely finished my project yet as I still need to print some of the pictures that I want in my family tree, but I am so happy with how this has turned out. It is literally like a dream come true for me as I wanted to do something like this so bad, but never thought I would get around to it. It was amazingly easy.
