Navigating Online Shopping is Sweeter with Sweet Relish

When I first heard about Sweet Relish, I didn’t fully understand this relatively new online shopping tool.  I was told it would help me to discover, organize, share and shop online but what exactly does the mean???

Sweet Relish allows you to create lists based on items you like. So imagine you are browsing the internet, looking for some new decor in your dining room or trying to put together the perfect birthday party for your special kiddo. You want to keep track of everything in one easy to find spot. With Sweet Relish you can make your purchases later when it is more convenient and you’ve narrowed down what exactly you need. It also allows you to easily share your ideas with friends. But unlike other social media tools,  you have a way to purchase them and easily see their cost as well.

Creating a list is super simple. Once you join Sweet Relish, which literally takes only a few moments of your time, you can choose one of three ways to add to your list from things you find online. You can choose to add a Relish icon to your bookmark toolbar which is super easy to install. Simply do a drag and drop and you are good to go. You can also copy the url from the page you like and go the old fashioned way instead.

I chose the bookmark option and now this handy little “relish” icon is in my bookmark toolbar. To add or create a list, I simple click on it and this window appears asking me which item on the page am I looking to submit to my list.

I then click the “submit to list” button and choose from a drop down menu which list I’d like to add it to. (Or I can create a new one!) I also can add any thoughts I have on the item as either reminders for myself or messages to others.

This week I was working on a couple of different lists but really trying to build up my Valentine’s Day Romance collection since February 14th is sneaking up on me! My husband and I love to celebrate as a couple with a special night in. We like to prepare a special meal including indulgences like seafood and enjoy a bottle of wine and a special dessert. We get a chance to really connect as a couple once the kids go to bed. I love this quality time.

Many of the items I found myself through browsing the internet but all of the wine selections and several of the candies were found by browsing items added from other Sweet Relish members! This is just another way in which to enjoy Sweet Relish and I’m continuing to figure out my favorite ways to use this new site.
