The vault is open! Now’s your chance to take the second star to the right then straight on ‘till morning to the enchanted world of Never Land with Peter Pan. Enjoy this magical tale from the same Walt Disney executive producer as your childhood favorites “Sleeping Beauty”, “Snow White” and “Alice in Wonderland” in stunning high definition picture and sound. This classic was released for the first time on Blu-ray™ on February 5, 2013 celebrating the 60th Anniversary of this Walt Disney classic.

In recent months I’ve realized that there are several Disney classics that I’ve never seen. GASP! How is that even possible? Oh yeah, I grew up renting VHS players and movies from Video Update so it was a treat to watch a movie. Anyone else relate to that one? I was excited to experience this classic story with my daughter, nephew and sister-in-law as we ALL watched it for the first time together (my husband was shocked none of us had seen it).

The kids seemed to enjoy the first moments of the film the best as Wendy, John and Michael were being tucked into bed and their sweet puppy was tripping over blocks trying to keep the room tidy. I just love hearing my nephew belly laugh. As they all flew with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell we were taken to the magical Never Land.

My daughter has asked to watch “Peter Pan” several times since then and seems to enjoy the movie. I remember the lost boys and Tinker Bell moments from childhood story books as well as the Robin William favorite “Hook”.

Since enjoying the feisty play between Peter Pan and Captain Hook my girl has enjoyed pirate talk and play. It’s fun to see her imagination come alive through this magical tale.
