I love family friendly movies and I love Thanksgiving and this November I am looking forward to enjoying both with the new movie Free Birds.  Who doesn’t love eating turkey and spending time with family?  Well, I suppose maybe Turkeys don’t enjoy it.  haha

In this hilarious, adventurous buddy comedy for audiences of all ages, directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears a Who!), two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history – and get turkey off the Thanksgiving menu for good.  Story by: David I. Stern and John Strauss Producers: Scott Mosier  Executive Producers: Aron Warner, John Strauss, David I. Stern

I viewed the trailer for this movie and it looks hilarious.  I love the ha ha ha laugh of the hazmats guys in yellow.  Check it out:

With an all star cast including Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Amy Poehler, Dan Fogler, Lesley Nicol, and George Takei, I am sure this film will be a laugh out loud classic. (I am personally a huge Owen Wilson fan so that is enough to make me want to see it just to hear his voice).

My kids love movies and the oldest two are definitely old enough to sit through a good movie in the theater so I am sure we will be going as a family to see Free Birds.  Danica’s birthday is in November too so maybe we can incorporate a movie outing for her birthday.  Hmmm… I like that idea.

Free Birds releases in 2D and 3D formats on November 1st – just in time for Thanksgiving!
