<p><a href="http://www.luglife.com"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8254" title="Lug Logo" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-Logo.png" alt="" width="183" height="86" /></a></p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been a fan of <a href="http://www.luglife.com">Lug</a> for a few years.  This cool company is dedicated to make work and travel not only more stylish but efficient and comfortable! Whether your travel plans include a trip across the country or across town, Lug has you covered.</p>
<blockquote><p>Lug hit the scene in 2005, when founders Jason and Ami launched the brand with offices in Dallas and Toronto. Our focus was travel—how to get there smarter and with style. A business based on luggage belts and coordinating tags has grown to bags, big and small, plus a slew of smart solutions that fit for travel, work, play, and everyday.</p></blockquote>
<p>Perhaps you remember one of my very <a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/2009/02/lug-puddle-jumper-overnightgym-bag.html">first reviews</a> of the Lug <a href="http://www.luglife.com/Puddle-Jumper-Overnight-Gym-Bag?sc=18&amp;category=3612">Puddle Jumper Gym/Overnight Bag</a>. I am still in love with this bag and it still looks fabulous! They also have a ton of other travel products in such an array of colors that it makes me drool thinking about my favorites like their <a href="http://www.luglife.com/Tango-Travel-Wallet?sc=18&amp;category=3607">Tango Travel Wallet</a> and <a href="http://www.luglife.com/Flatbed-Slim-Laptop-Bed?sc=18&amp;category=3604">Flatbed Slim Laptop Bed</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-Travel-Products.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8261" title="Lug Travel Products" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-Travel-Products.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="200" /></a>One of their newest creations was the <a href="http://www.luglife.com/Brands/UCB">Undercover Bears by Lug</a>. These cute guys are so much more than your average stuffed friend!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.luglife.com/Brands/UCB"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8257" title="LUG UCB Logo" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/LUG-UCB-Logo.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="238" /></a></p>
<blockquote><p>The Undercover Bears are an elite group—a formidable and furry force. Their mission is simple, but its completion is key: The UCBs help those in need. This ten-bear super squad is made up of cuddly individuals, with strengths that vary with their hue. From red for love to purple for hope and every color in between, each bear’s unique assets make up a mighty team—a rainbow of talents to match every personality. Whether embarking on a journey to a faraway land or tackling a local mission, the UCBs are always ready, bringing love, strength, and good fortune when you need some extra cover.</p></blockquote>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-UCB-Colors.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8256" title="Lug UCB Colors" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-UCB-Colors.jpg" alt="" width="278" height="286" /></a>Available in 10 fun colors, these lovable bears contain a generous and super plush 35&#8243;w x 46&#8243;h sized blanket that is folded within the bear. A unique feature is the inflatable pillow which folds neatly into a pouch within the blanket so a single bear contains both a pillow and a blanket that can be used at the same time!  All pieces are machine washable so you need not worry about spills!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/LUG-UCB-Agent-Oscar.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8255" title="LUG UCB Agent Oscar" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/LUG-UCB-Agent-Oscar-300x280.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="280" /></a>We chose <a href="http://www.luglife.com/Undercover-Bears-Agent-Oscar?sc=10&amp;category=1709">Agent Oscar</a> to test for our trip from Minnesota to Texas. I chose orange because that is my four year old&#8217;s favorite color and I <em>thought </em>I was getting one of these bears for my kids. I quickly realized that while the bears are great for children they certainly are not only for them.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-Undercover-Bears-1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8260" title="Lug Undercover Bears 1" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-Undercover-Bears-1.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>On our way from Minneapolis to Houston we had the pleasure of sitting in the very last row of the plane. With kids that can be a good and bad thing. While we are out of the way, in that particular plane the seats did not recline. Reclining seats are important when you&#8217;ve been up since 3:30 am.  My son got to use the inflatable pillow and I used the blanket but my husband was stuck using a stuffed animal. At that point we really wished we had another Undercover Bear.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-Undercover-Bear-2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8259" title="Lug Undercover Bear 2" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lug-Undercover-Bear-2.jpg" alt="" width="592" height="221" /></a>Another side effect of airline cutbacks, pillows and blankets are no longer provided. Since we were on our way to over 100 degree weather we dressed for the climate. You never can tell if your plane will be stifling hot or cold and on this day we were actually freezing on the plane, even without the air blowing on us. (Other passengers were actually complaining.) It worked perfectly to have the UCB with us. I was able to easily fit the bear in my tote under my seat and it was such a luxury to have a nice soft blanket so close at hand. The bear is the perfect size for a small pillow and has a nice carrying strap so you can easily attach it to your luggage or stroller.</p>
<h4>Overall Thoughts</h4>
<p>I was expecting something that would be good for my children during travel but I&#8217;ve realized that these are perfect for adults well. I will be traveling for another blog event early next month and you can be certain that Agent Oscar will be traveling with me. Our UCB made our trip more comfortable and I am definitely looking to purchase a second one for our next family getaway. These would work great to keep in the car as well for longer trips!</p>

<p>A year ago I never would have imagined that I&#8217;d start making homemade birthday cakes for my family. I used to buy a decorated cake for a fairly good price at Sam&#8217;s Club and was happy having one less thing to think about while planning a party. But one thing that I&#8217;ve learned is that it is hard to always find exactly what your child would love to have at a bakery unless you are willing to spend a lot more for a specialty cake.</p>
<p>After learning the basics of decorating from the professionals at <a href="http://www.wilton.com">Wilton</a> headquarters, I&#8217;ve found out  is it not as hard to create an amazing cake as one might think once armed with the knowledge of how to do it, the right tools and a little practice.  Not much can top that feeling of accomplishment when you finish a cake that you know will make your child&#8217;s birthday special. I never would have imagined a year ago I would be making my son this..</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-13.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8219" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 13" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-13.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>But I did and you can too!  With the <a href="http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=3E314228-475A-BAC0-538F1B1920A395A6&amp;fid=3E32E691-475A-BAC0-5C9F898E02AF9FCF">Wilton 3D Choo-Choo Train Cake Pan</a>, which retails for an inexpensive 14.49, you can use two standard cake mixes like I did (I used vanilla, do not use white!) to get six cups of batter and have some left over for cupcakes. Simply fill to the top and I do mean the very top or you run the risk of it not filling the other side and therefore not even on both sides. (Trust me, I know.)</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8203" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 4" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-4.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>Next tie with string to keep it from being separated by the rising cake. You can just tie it in two places but my husband decided he wanted to &#8220;help&#8221; and tied it like this make sure it couldn&#8217;t move.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-3.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8202" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 3" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-3.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>To check for doneness stick a toothpick in the hole in the top half and when it comes out clean you are done! After baking follow the instructions with the pan to prepare it for removal.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-6.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8205" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 6" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-6.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>After it had a chance to cool it was surprisingly easy to transfer it upright and I was ready to start decorating!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-16.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8209" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 16" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-16.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>With my icing all ready to go, it took about 1  1/2 hours for me to do the actual decorating. I did take a minute or two here and there to rest my hands.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-17.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8210" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 17" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-17.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>Using the <a href="http://www.wilton.com/downloads/paninstructions/2105-2861ChooChooTrain.pdf">online instructions</a> made it easy. With a color picture and arrows for exactly what tips and colors to use where, it wasn&#8217;t hard at all. It just took a little patience.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-12.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8206" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 12" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-12.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a><span style="color: #800080;"><strong>To see a more detailed tutorial, see my <a href="http://ohmysugarhigh.com/wilton-3-d-express-train-cake-tutorial/">Wilton 3-D Express Train Cake Tutorial</a> on my baking blog, Oh My! Sugar High!</strong></span></h4>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-14.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8207" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 14" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-14.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>The scariest part was transporting it to my parent&#8217;s house for Lucian&#8217;s birthday which was over an hour away. Miraculously it stayed completely untouched!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lucian-Train-Cake-2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8215" title="Lucian &amp; Train Cake 2" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Lucian-Train-Cake-2.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>And my son was thrilled with his train cake! I couldn&#8217;t be more pleased by his excitement.  It felt so good to have been able to make him exactly what he wanted without having to turn to a bakery. And truly you can too! The zigzags and stars used on this cake are some of the easiest decorating techniques to master and instructions are included both online to teach you how. Even if you can&#8217;t afford or make the time to attend a Wilton Method of Decorating course near you, you can make this cake if you take the time to practice the star and zigzag a bit beforehand. Just be sure to not decorate the cake the day of the party. Give yourself plenty of time the day before so you are stressed and don&#8217;t feel inclined to rush!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-15.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8208" title="Wilton 3D Train Cake 15" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Wilton-3D-Train-Cake-15.jpg" alt="" width="591" height="443" /></a>How would you like all the materials necessary (and even some that aren&#8217;t) to make a 3-D cake with the Wilton Choo Choo Train pan? Wilton has generously offered all you see below so you too can make this fun and show stopping cake!</p>

<p><a href="http://www.tjmaxx.com"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-5049" title="TJ Maxx Logo" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/TJ-Maxx-Logo1-300x95.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="95" /></a></p>
<p>I have a bit of a love affair with <a href="http://www.tjmaxx.com">T.J. Maxx</a>. Could it be the hunt, knowing I am certain to find treasure? Perhaps it is the fabulous prices on fashion that is still in style? I&#8217;m thinking it may also have something to do with their amazing housewares section that pulls me in like a moth to a flame. I never know <em>what </em>I&#8217;m going to find when I go and that is half the fun!</p>
<p>Locally, our kids go back to school next week. It was obvious when I visited that there were plenty of families doing their school shopping here and with good reason. I found great looks like this feminine military. (That top seriously makes me wish there was one left in my size!)</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-3.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8130" title="TJ Maxx School and Fall Fashion 3" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-3.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>Too cool black rocker argyle. And to to think argyle used to be thought of as preppy. Not anymore!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8131" title="TJ Maxx School and Fall Fashion 4" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-4.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>These jackets had me doing a double take. Not only are they eye catching for the look, that purple one has my name on it, but just check out that price!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-6.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8133" title="TJ Maxx School and Fall Fashion 6" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-6.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>And T.J. Maxx isn&#8217;t just for women and girls fashion. I found these awesome Guess Jeans for guys, normally $89 for only $29.99. They were a current and classic style. Not irregular or with some super trendy detailing. Any guy would love to wear these and any guy (or mom) would love to buy them at that price!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-Fall-Fashion-7.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8135" title="TJ Maxx School Fall Fashion 7" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-Fall-Fashion-7.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>And with plenty of options for junior and girls and boys fashion, you really can shop for Back to School or just for fall for your entire family!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-Fall-Fashion-8.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8136" title="TJ Maxx School Fall Fashion 8" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-Fall-Fashion-8.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>If you still haven&#8217;t gotten around to getting a new backpack, T.J. Maxx had a huge display to choose from and a great price.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-Fall-Fashion-9.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8137" title="TJ Maxx School Fall Fashion 9" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-Fall-Fashion-9.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>But on this trip I was shopping for me. Just me with NO kids. Since this doesn&#8217;t happen often I had to take some time to browse for myself and found some great fall sweaters like this win.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-5.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8132" title="TJ Maxx School and Fall Fashion 5" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-5.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>I couldn&#8217;t resist so I picked up a similar one in brown. The quality is fantastic. It is a heavier weight but with 1/2 sleeves that allows me to breathe a bit. It is a great layering piece and will be the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe at $29.99. This is me feeling fancy free in my new sweater and dying in the heat doing it. <em>(Try not to laugh at my pose. We kept getting wind gusts and I just finally went with it instead of trying to get my hair out of my face. Work with me here.)</em></p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8138" title="TJ Maxx School and Fall Fashion 1" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-1.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="388" /></a>The baker in me can not resist the housewares section and when I spied this amazingly girly yet modern apron I *knew* I had to have it. It was a total want, not a need but once I found the matching oven mitt and pot holder I was sold.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-10.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8134" title="TJ Maxx School and Fall Fashion 10" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-10.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>If this doesn&#8217;t scream fall fashion I don&#8217;t know what does. Doesn&#8217;t it almost look like a cute dress on its own? I&#8217;m in love with those frilly ruffles and I have no idea why.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8139" title="TJ Maxx School and Fall Fashion 2" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/TJ-Maxx-School-and-Fall-Fashion-2.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="366" /></a>I already made some apple crisp in it the other night and totally looked the part! <em>(Which was so important in the privacy of my own home where nobody saw me&#8230;yeah.)</em> The apron was only $12.99 and the pot holders $5.99. For under $20 I bought myself some happiness. Well worth it!</p>

<p><a href="http://www.terracycle.net">Terracycle</a> takes waste ranging from candy bar wrappers, drink pouches, old circuit boards to Aveeno lotion containers and create NEW products out of them. Not only can you make money by sending in your waste to them, you can buy sweet products in return! It also looks like this would be a great fundraiser opportunity for an organization to collect drink pouches and other materials Terracycle recycles. I am thoroughly pleased when looking at companies such as Terracycle, who are obviously committed to the environment. They really have an endless amount of products, please check out there website! <em>Oh and PLEASE, PLEASE watch the video(s) on the site. </em>They are simple amazing.</p>
<p>And if you really want to learn more about this company, check out many more TerraCycle videos on <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FM6sxZFvJ5c ">YouTube</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/TerraCycle-1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8090" title="TerraCycle 1" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/TerraCycle-1.jpg" alt="" width="480" height="360" /></a>Once again, I’m trying not to gush, but I get terribly excited to see not only sustainable companies but sustainable products that unite communities and allow each one of us to make a step in the Greater Good of being Green! What makes me excited is that we all get to take steps, whether big or small, to take an initiative in being better citizens to this planet.</p>
<p>I’m going to quote part of the first video titles, “What is Garbage” from the Terracycle site.</p>
<blockquote><p>“…It’s easy to see everything you buy as garbage because 99% of everything you buy will be in the dump in one year. But the problem with seeing everything as garbage is that before long everything, I mean everything, including the whole planet, will be trash. We’re producing billions of tons of garbage a year and the problem is just growing…And that is the big idea behind Terracycle, we don’t see garbage. We see valuable raw materials to make amazing new products that are cooler, cheaper and way more sustainable. Millions of people, top manufactures, and major retailers are joining us to trash the whole idea of garbage and SAVE THE PLANET! I hope you’ll join us too.”</p></blockquote>
<p>How much more raw and honest can you get? Check out the <a href="http://www.terracycle.net">TerraCycle</a> website to see and hear more vids.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/TerraCycle-2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8091" title="TerraCycle 2" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/TerraCycle-2.jpg" alt="" width="480" height="360" /></a>For this review I received a <a href="http://www.terracycle.net/products/search?query=lunch&amp;commit=Search">lunch box from juice pouches</a> ($7.99), <a href="http://www.terracycle.net/products/search?query=totes&amp;commit=Search">a tote bag made from juice pouches </a>($8.99) and <a href="http://www.terracycle.net/products/64-Circuit-Board-Coasters">coasters made from circuit boards</a> ($12.99). The construction of the tote and pouches is nice and sturdy. I just love that someone else’s garbage has been given another life! I feel like I can pack my lunch and go back-to-school or grocery shop knowing I’m doing Mother Earth good!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/TerraCycle-4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8093" title="TerraCycle 4" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/TerraCycle-4.jpg" alt="" width="480" height="360" /></a>My husband was crazy excited to see the circuit board coasters, saying “I’ve always wanted these!”, and had them out on our coffee table in a flash! Oh, aren’t men funny!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/TerraCycle.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8089" title="TerraCycle" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/TerraCycle.jpg" alt="" width="480" height="360" /></a>TerraCycle is also teaming up with Colgate to reuse those pesky toothpaste tubes!</p>
<blockquote><p>TerraCycle, Inc. joins Colgate-Palmolive Company in announcing the “Colgate Brigade,” TerraCycle’s first collection program for oral care products. The Colgate Brigade represents TerraCycle’s first initiative that empowers consumers to collect and reuse oral care products and packaging on a national scale. TerraCycle’s Colgate Brigade accepts specific Colgate® products including used toothpaste tubes, certain toothbrushes and even product packaging. For every Colgate® oral care item submitted, Colgate-Palmolive will make a two-cent contribution to support the causes designated by local collection teams.</p></blockquote>

<p>I love zucchini. I loved eating it grilled or sauteed, especially with some yellow squash. But what I really enjoy is baking with it. Shredded zucchini, much like carrots or apples are great for making moist and flavorful baked goods. From cakes to breads to muffins, zucchini rocks. I&#8217;ve already featured two recipes on my baking blog. So of course I asked my mom if she had any zucchini left in her garden last week. She asked my dad to give me some from the garden and put it in the back of my van.</p>
<p>I was completely not expecting to find THESE when I got home.<a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Monster-Zucchini-1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8111" title="Monster Zucchini 1" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Monster-Zucchini-1.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>Now that is some MONSTER ZUCCHINI. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed but had trust in my handy dandy KitchenAid Rotor Shredder/Slicer attachment which I knew would fly through the shredding.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Monster-Zucchini-2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8112" title="Monster Zucchini 2" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Monster-Zucchini-2.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="443" /></a>But what I hadn&#8217;t counted on was this. I never imagined that a single zucchini would net me 17 cups! Since most recipes call for 1 or 2 cups of zucchini, I think I&#8217;m set for the year after one. I plan to give a couple to my husband to bring to work. Because for the love, there is no way I can process or use four more that size.  I think I might end up like <a href="http://www.5minutesformom.com/26235/tackle-it-tuesday-a-new-freezer/">5 minutes for mom</a> with a freezer full of zucchini instead of blueberries.</p>
<p>If you are also looking for recipes in which to use the zucchini from your garden, check out my <a href="http://ohmysugarhigh.com/zucchini-bread-recipe/">Zucchini Bread</a> and <a href="http://ohmysugarhigh.com/zucchini-pineapple-cake-cream-cheese-frosting-recipe/">Zucchini Pineapple Cake</a> posts on Oh My! Sugar High. And be sure to watch out for more recipes because as you can see, there is no doubt I&#8217;ll be adding more.</p>
<p>And if that KitchenAid mixture attachment is making you drool, keep an eye out here on Baby Loving Mama for the chance to win your choice of KitchenAid attachment!</p>

<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Brave-Mouse-Books-Logo.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8048" title="Brave Mouse Books Logo" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Brave-Mouse-Books-Logo.jpg" alt="" width="196" height="127" /></a>I know that my boys are a bit addicted to books. And for the longest time I think I was a bit addicted to buying them for them. That is, until my huge bookcase became overflowing and they starting to infiltrate the nearby dresser. I&#8217;ve since weeded some of them out and now I&#8217;m a bit more selective about what I choose to add to their library. After seeing the adorable cover and synopsis of the children&#8217;s book, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0981969712?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=bablovmam-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0981969712">Benjamin and Bumper to the Rescue</a><img style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=bablovmam-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0981969712" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /> by bestselling author Molly Coxe I thought it was a perfect time to add a new book into the mix! With real photos an adorable mouse and elephant heroes, how could I resist?</p>
<blockquote><p>Benjamin and Bumper to the Rescue is a truly unique picture book that delivers a pint sized view of a larger than life adventure. Photographs of incredibly detailed dioramas and a story chock-full of ingenious plans, humorous situations and surprising twists make this endearing tale of Benjamin, a fuzzy mouse and Bumper, his true-blue elephant friend, an instant bedtime classic. Skillfully photographed by Olivier Toppin, Coxe’s uncommonly endearing felted wool characters are wonderfully alive, and her carefully gathered props of buttons, antique toys and cracked dishes are perfect for kids who delight in searching the illustrations for all of the tiny details that reveal themselves at the turn of every page.</p></blockquote>
<p>Check out this video to get a closeup look at this fun adventure!<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="560" height="340" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ryb8JfTyQcg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x402061&amp;color2=0x9461ca" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ryb8JfTyQcg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x402061&amp;color2=0x9461ca" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<p>Both my boys were captured by Benjamin and Bumper. I wasn&#8217;t sure what they would make of the wool characters and if they would see them as heroes or simply stuffed animals. I needn&#8217;t have worried. Warren has a favorite stuffed elephant that he must sleep with each night so he loved being able to imagine him as Bumper. I think both of them enjoyed the story even more knowing they could imagine their own adventure using their stock of animal friends.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Benjamin-Bumper-Book.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8054" title="Benjamin Bumper Book" src="http://www.babylovingmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Benjamin-Bumper-Book.jpg" alt="" width="592" height="221" /></a> It is a longer story but one that easily kept my boy&#8217;s attention, with their interest engrossed in both the adventure and detailed photographs.  This sweet tale is sure to be a hit with your children as it was mine.</p>
<p>In order to add to the fun, I&#8217;ve got a giveaway that not only includes a copy of the book but also a Make a Mouse Kit, which will make two mouse friends for your child! <em>(Don&#8217;t worry if you aren&#8217;t crafty, sewing is optional and I will send you instructional video!)</em></p>
