Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Washington Shoe Company have unleashed a rain collection inspired by the beloved DC Comics character, Batman under the Western Chief Kids brand. This rain gear is sure to encourage your child’s imagination with its Batman themed hooded rain slicker, boots and umbrella.

Two super fun features include a removable cape that can be used with or without the raincoat for all those flying adventures and glow in the dark logos so your child is sure to get noticed.  Boots range in child sizes 5-13 and youth 1-4 while the raincoats come in size 2T-6X.

Batman has recently become one of my three year old’s favorite characters. Lucian had a blast getting dressed up in his gear to “fly” around our backyard.  He loved the flowing cape blowing in the wind as he ran around super fast. Wouldn’t you just love to join this super hero in his adventures?

The quality on this set is like nothing I’ve ever seen. We already own the Western Chief Fire Chief boots so I wasn’t surprised by the high quality of these Batman boots. However, the raincoat and umbrella really surprised me. The workmanship is absolutely outstanding and the lining of the jacket so soft and clearly well made. This set really had me in awe on all levels and can easily be passed down from my oldest to my youngest. The coolest feature on the umbrella is the absence of any sort of button/locking mechanism that could pinch little fingers. It literally goes up and down magically just my moving the white connector up and down. No locking in place whatsoever!

I’m excited to bring to show you some wonderful items from Kidorable, a company that specializes in kids apparel and accessories that takes function and adds an imaginative and fun twist! They started as a small company in 1997 and have since grown faster than they ever imagined themselves! If you browse their styles you just can’t help but smile yourself so it really is no wonder they have so much appeal to children.

We got to try test out the fireman umbrella, boots and backpack. My three year old Lucian immediately gravitated to all of these items since he is currently obsessed with any type of emergency vehicles and firemen in general. He wasted no time putting on his boots and backpack so I took him outside to let him also enjoy his umbrella. He had fun identifying the images on the umbrella and was exited about the fire hydrant and ladder!

Lucian loves that the boots have wheels and flames going up them and even his little brother steals them whenever he gets the chance so he can clomp around the house in them! The fireman backpack has also been a hit with my son. He thinks it is so cool and it has been great to use for his weekly Early Childhood Education class for spare clothes. It certainly stands out among the rest of the bags! I like that there are outside pouches, perfect for small toys or snacks.

The quality on all of these items is superb and as a parent I am very pleased. The only thing I should warn you about is the smell that comes from the backpack. It reminds me of the strong rubber smell I’ve gotten from other items with similar materials, like my yoga mat. You will definitely want to air it out before using. I don’t notice any smell now but it was a bit strong in the beginning. I wouldn’t however let it keep me from purchasing a backpack in the future, especially when the are so adorable.
